Research Matters
The Office for Clinical Research hosts bi-monthly Research Matters educational events to update the Emory clinical research community on new regulations, policies, and procedures. The speakers are include MDs, PhDs, clinical research coordinators, and outside community representatives that provide information about the latest research at Emory, oversight and compliance processes, and new ways to improve research. Research Matters is an event where you will always learn something new!
Attendees at Research Matters events are eligible to receive up to 1.5 of Continuing Medical Education (CME) hours through the EUSOM Office of Continuing Education (OCME), which is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME). Although there are exceptions, CME is generally accepted by other professional organizations such as Association for Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP), National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA), Certified IRB Professional (CIP), Society of Research Administrators (SRA), Society of Clinical Research Associates (SoCRA), etc. To receive proper credit, attendees must sign the registration sheet and stay for the event duration.
